Tampa Bay Rays catcher Dioner Navarro underwent surgery in late October to stabilize an ulnar nerve in his left elbow, but he’s expected to be ready for Spring Training, the Rays said Monday.
The Rays also said that OF Fernando Perez underwent successful surgery in early October on his left shoulder to repair his labrum, a procedure similar to the one B.J. Upton had last off season. Perez is expected to be back to play in the spring.
